HIV/Aids Management Programme

We do pre and post test counseling for HIV. HIV testing can be done by sending blood to the laboratory or rapid testing at the practice.

We consult and do follow-ups for patients on HIV treatment (HAART).

Post-exposure prophylaxis

We also attend to people who have been accidentally exposed to HIV e.g. needle pricks, sexual contact e.t.c

In such cases, the patient should take ARV treatment for 30 days (one month) in order to prevent infection. This is called post-exposure prophylaxis, or PEP.
